Day 9
After a long hiatus (of nearly two weeks) we finally returned for this, the ninth day of jogging. We'd chosen a fine day weather-wise, despite the near threat of rain from gathering dark clouds, it turned out there was nothing to worry about and the sun even started to make an appearance during the second half of our jog.
We warmed up as usual and began jogging. Huw joined AK & myself again and there seemed to be a bit of running at times, but mostly jogging. Huw had a tendency to jump over things a lot (the highest point of the fence posts, rocks, streams, you name it... we were discussing a movie Huw had watched and had been somewhat influenced). At the half-way stage we took time out to once again play with the Frisbee (see also Days 2 & 6). This lasted for about fifteen minutes as we threw the frisbee to each other. We tended to get better as time progressed, working out how the wind was affecting the throw.
We got back to the jogging business after that, although a game was played where this time we were moving while throwing a tennis ball to each other. We were lucky the ball never went into the sea (although Huw had to rescue it from the tide at one point). At this point we noticed the tide was drastically coming in, we were losing beach space and had to climb over each fence post whereas coming the other way we'd gone round most of them.
We felt a bit tired after today's jog, mainly because we had not jogged for nearly two weeks. I personally felt as if I was over-exerting myself today with the jog—in a positive way—refusing to stop until we'd made it to certain posts on the beach.
Notes: Frisbee played for third time. Huw joined us for a second time, looking as though he could be the next permanent member (along with Chris who is currently away). Just for clarity, every jog has AK & Rich present. Others present are specified in each entry.
Weather Conditions: Mild temperature becoming warmer; light breeze, sunny spells in later parts
